Brand Communications Manager Role Profile
Reports to Commercial Director.

Your Role in a Nutshell
You are the Champion of the Buttermilk brand, ensuring that we are the plant powered treat of choice by bringing our indulgence and innovation to life through storytelling. You will work tirelessly and be committed to ensure every detail of the product, brand story and innovation are captured in engaging strong communication campaigns. Whatever you are working on you bring fresh inspiration and a creative flair to each project, inspiring and developing your team to reach the business and brand goals.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the full offline and online marketing mix of the Buttermilk brand:
  • Create and implement amazing marketing campaigns and support all marketing strategies, promotional campaigns and products in the marketing calendar, delivered within our budget.
  • E-commerce
    Day to day management of Shopify website including content and products updates. Regular e-commerce reporting utilising Shopify reporting tools & own analysis to find opportunities to improve conversions. Understanding of Google Analytics to supplement Shopify reporting. Supporting the rollout of the model to international markets.
  • Content & Social Media
    Develop content strategy & assets for social media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook), blog, and email. Work with photographers & videographers for asset creation, as well as create unique assets in Canva. Daily community management of Instagram & TikTok channels. Brand Collaborations - Identify partner brands to work with on giveaways and other content. Outreach, coordination & implementation of collaboration from start to finish. Digital Ads - Work closely with paid digital agency to ensure effective use of budget and strong results that support both the brand and e-commerce growth.
  • Customer Life cycle Marketing
    Write and deploy newsletters, tailored to different audience segments. Maintain & identify new opportunities to improve automations and flows.
  • Trade marketing support
    Budget - Provide monthly budget breakdown for ad campaigns and ensure its upheld. Creative - Brief in creative for upcoming campaigns, promotions and/or product launches. Support event marketing, partnership marketing and trade marketing as needed.

Qualifications & Essential Skills

  • Experienced in brand marketing, operating at mid-levels.
  • Technical competencies, Shopify and Klaviyo experience preferred. Solid IT skills, with good working knowledge of MS Office programs and the ability to learn in-house systems quickly. Good working knowledge of Google Analytics.
  • Experience driving new customer acquisition and working on D2C platforms.
  • Great knowledge and understanding of digital marketing and the ability to analyse campaigns using various data sources.
  • Proven experience creating brand engagement through PR, email, social media, brand content and other communication channels.
  • Proven track record in managing brands, developing and executing brand positioning, tone of voice and brand guidelines.
  • Excellent communicator in the spoken and written word, with accuracy and great attention to detail.
  • Super organised with excellent time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Has worked within a small business and challenger brand environment.
