Human Resources Programs and Projects Associate

The position reports to the Vice President, Human Resources and has responsibility for performing general Human Resources duties, in addition to a specific focus on Human Resources Programs and Projects. This includes assisting with developing, recommending, and implementing policies and programs to enhance the Human Resources function, including but not limited to HR audits and facilitating related projects and programs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support for all HR initiatives and leading special projects or programs in a variety of HR disciplines to improve the employee experience, enhance the HR function, and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
  • Overseeing employee onboarding and exit processes, ensuring that all required documentation is received and processes are adhered to.
  • Assisting with the development and review of HR related policies and procedures, while making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Producing and analysing HR metrics to evaluate current HR programs and supporting decisions for development and improvement.
  • Consulting with clients on various employment talent programs such as Summer Internships, Scholarships, Graduate Talent Trainee, and Long Service awards.
  • Leading the recruitment process for associated programs, where applicable.
  • Overseeing Human Resources invoicing process, ensuring processing and payments are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Tracking the HR budget in conjunction with the VP HR, Bermuda.
  • Maintaining knowledge of HR legislation, practices, and trends.
  • Leading and mentoring Interns and Graduate Trainees, and identifying other mentors within the business to support the HR related programs.
  • Collaborating with business heads on the timely execution of HR projects and programs.

Your qualifications and skills include:

  • University degree in Human Resources or Business with five years’ experience in a similar role, or equivalent, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Track record of leading projects in a variety of HR disciplines.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Strong ability to identify talent that aligns with the bank’s core values.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret information and develop recommendations based on data received.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Ability to manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information while operating with absolute discretion.
  • Ability to operate with integrity and remain impartial.
  • Team player attitude, with the requirement to work independently as needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
