Foundation Training Consortium (FTC) Tutor Opportunity within the West Midlands. Buttercups Training are part of Lyceum Education Group, and we are a specialist, market leading training provider within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. We have a track record of delivering high quality training programmes to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and healthcare support staff with high achievement rates.
Due to continued success and expansion, an opportunity has arisen for several Freelance Tutors to join the team and support with the delivery of the NHSE national training offer to foundation trainee pharmacists for the Foundation Training Consortium (FTC). We are seeking experienced pharmacists who are committed to delivering high‐quality training and supporting the development of foundation trainee pharmacists. This role provides an opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a structured training programme through effective facilitation, learner support, and engagement with training requirements.
Please note: The role will include a requirement to travel across the West Midlands to deliver training days. The main locations include Walsall, Stoke, Telford, Worcester, and Birmingham. From time to time, travel to other locations in the East Midlands region may be required.
Main Duties:- Delivery of in-person training to foundation trainee pharmacists within the Midlands region.
- Monitoring learner performance and progression, providing remote support or signposting for additional support as needed.
- Supporting and liaising with workplace supervisors (DS/DPP) on learner progression where required.
- Maintenance of accurate learner records and supporting the delivery of KPIs for the programme.
- Liaise with administration teams to raise concerns with employers, where appropriate.
- Participation in standardisation and quality driven activities and projects as required.
- Completing CPD to maintain personal development pertaining to the role.
- Assisting with the development of programme materials where required.
- Undertaking other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required.
Requirements:
- Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience.
- Experience of supporting pre-registration/foundation pharmacist trainees.
- Excellent clinical knowledge and proven ability to apply in practice.
- Knowledge of standards of education and training relating to foundation pharmacist trainees and educational supervisors.
- Able to travel across the West Midlands region.
- Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Able to remain self‐motivated and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Postgraduate clinical diploma or IP qualification.
- Prior experience in organising and facilitating face‐to‐face training events.
- Evidence of working in a range of settings.
- Experience of writing, reviewing and developing training materials for use in different media.
