Nursery Nurse Level 3

Buttercups Day Nursery have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team. Due to the high numbers of children enrolling in the nursery we are looking for a hard working, energetic, reliable member of staff.

The successful candidate will assist us in providing high quality childcare part time 25.5 hours per week between the hours of 7:30am – 6:00pm, Tuesday to Thursday, and will need to be flexible during these times.

We are looking for a nursery nurse with a level 3, or above, childcare qualification and have a clear enhanced DBS. Previous experience within a nursery setting is desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate will need to be able to work in a very busy environment and work well within a team. They will need to be kind, caring and understanding of the children\’s need

Duties:
– Provide high-quality care and education to children in a nursery setting.
– Create a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and play.
– Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, music, and outdoor play.
– Support children\’s physical, emotional, and social development.
– Monitor children\’s progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians.
– Collaborate with other nursery staff to ensure the smooth running of daily routines.
– Maintain accurate records of children\’s attendance, development, and any incidents or accidents.
– Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children.

Experience:
– Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred but not required.
– Knowledge of child development theories and practices.
– Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
– Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
