We are looking for a hands-on and proactive Maintenance Operative to join our Facilities team. Whether you are an experienced professional or someone who has recently completed a relevant college course and is ready to take on your first role, we would love to hear from you. If you are keen to learn, grow, and make a real impact, this could be the perfect opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Facilities leadership team across all aspects of resort maintenance, helping to keep our spaces safe, functional, and welcoming for guests and team members alike.
  • Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the estate, working to current legislative standards.
  • Perform varied and hands-on tasks such as replacing door handles and light bulbs, glazing windows, fitting shower doors, applying silicone, and plasterboarding walls.
  • Evaluate repairs, manage inventory, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues and external service providers to get the job done efficiently and professionally.

All tools and equipment required for the role are provided. This is a five-day role across a seven-day rota, with typical hours of 9:00am to 4:30pm. You will also be scheduled for one weekend and one late evening shift (2:30pm to 10:00pm) every seven weeks.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in a maintenance environment or a relevant college course.
  • Confidence in prioritising tasks, meeting deadlines, and working within health and safety regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail, especially in record keeping.
  • Pride in your work, maintaining a positive and professional attitude, and enjoying working both independently and as part of a team.
