Description About the Role Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant Butlin’s Buffets Department in Skegness! Reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in leading a talented team of chefs while ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly. Your passion for delivering exceptional experiences will shine as you monitor and enhance our service quality. With your strong leadership skills, you’ll inspire your team through daily briefings, manage stock control, and ensure our food presentation is top-notch. Financial performance is key, and you’ll be responsible for delivering food cost budgets through effective menu planning and adherence to cooking standards. In this role, you’ll also uphold food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with both legislation and company policies. As a role model for Butlin’s unique way of working, you’ll implement training schedules and performance development plans, motivating your team to create unforgettable experiences for our guests. Join us in our main buffet restaurant, where you’ll have the opportunity to lead and develop a team serving up to 3,000 guests per service. Key Responsibilities We’re looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience in a similar role. Here’s what you’ll be doing: Support the Kitchen Manager in daily operations and team leadership. Monitor and enhance guest experiences through continuous improvement. Manage stock control and ensure high standards of food presentation. Deliver food cost budgets through effective menu planning. Uphold food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations. Foster a positive team culture that values fun and collaboration. To succeed in this role, you should be: Hardworking and determined, with a knack for getting things done. Energetic, enthusiastic, and fun-loving, ready to engage with guests and team members. A strong communicator who builds relationships with leaders and team members. Confident in leading a team to maintain high standards in a busy kitchen. You must have passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for managing margins, controlling costs, and ensuring health, safety, and hygiene standards are met. This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, totaling 40 hours, including evenings and weekends. Please note that this position does not come with onsite accommodation.
