We are looking for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join the Butlin's Buffets Department based in Skegness. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, you will support the running of the kitchen and lead a large team of chefs, stepping up in the Kitchen Manager's absence.
You will be passionate about providing an exceptional experience and will monitor this regularly to develop action plans with a focus on continuous improvement. Great leadership skills are essential to support and grow your team through daily briefings, stock control, and reviewing food presentation.
Financial performance is important in this role, and you will deliver food cost budgets through effective menu planning and cooking to standards and specifications. You will also support the accountability of food hygiene standards and health and safety in line with legislation and company policies.
You will be a role model for Butlin's unique way of working, ensuring training schedules and performance development plans are in place for your team, inspiring them to deliver a great experience to guests every time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience in a similar level role with large volume turnaround.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with good time management and organisational skills.
- Hardworking, determined, and reliable, looking for better ways for the team to consistently deliver brand standards.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, high-spirited, and fun-loving, understanding the value they can add to the guest experience.
- Ability to build and develop relationships with leaders and the team on resort.
- Must have passed Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team to deliver high standards in a busy kitchen environment.
- Responsible for managing margins, controlling costs, and all health, safety, and hygiene-related matters.
This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, including evenings and weekends. This role does not come with onsite accommodation.
