About the role
We have an internal opportunity for a Shift Manager secondment position to work in our Sports & Activities department!
Reporting to the Sports & Activities Manager, the Shift Manager will be responsible for ensuring daily operational plans are fulfilled by ensuring that relevant tasks and objectives are being carried out by the team and that team are in the right place at the right time to ensure we can manage fluctuating guest demand whilst keeping operational standards and guest experience high. Covering all aspects of go-karts, archery, football, adventure-golf, aerial adventures and booking point within the information point. There may be times that you cover Shift Manager duties in PLAYXPERIENCE at times too. You will support and coach the team to ensure the deliver a great experience and are also driving any key targets such as add on sales or promotions. This is an operational guest facing role and therefore all none-guest facing tasks and activity will be allocated as time within your working week to allow you to spend the majority of your time within your venue and with our guests.
This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, so flexibility is very important.
As with all roles at Butlin’s, no day will be the same and you will need to enjoy thinking on your feet, getting stuck in, and ensuring that our guest experience is always your number one priority.
About You
We are looking for an experienced leader from within an Sports & Activities environment that can support the team to deliver fantastic service. Putting the guests first in everything you do, you will have experience in training and coaching the team in a fun-filled environment to deliver an excellence experience.
You should have previous experience in leading a team within a sports and activities environment.
You should be confident to direct and respond in any situation whilst delivering consistent brand standards.
The ability to lead, motivate and engage your team, even at periods of high demand is important, as well as being able to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing requirements.
With strong leadership skills, you should be confident in inspiring your team to deliver amazing results for our teams and guests every day.
