Nursery Assistant required for a three month cover. Beautiful nursery based in Hackney, East London. This is a full time post based on a shift rota. Hours will be 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm and 10am-6pm. You will need to be qualified in level 3 in Childcare, have an enhanced DBS registered on the update service.
Job Purpose
To support the care, learning, and development of children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating nursery environment, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in providing high-quality care and education for children.
- Support planned learning activities and encourage children’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.
- Help create a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.
- Supervise children during play, meals, and rest times.
- Assist with personal care routines, including feeding, toileting, and changing nappies where required.
- Observe children’s progress and report concerns or achievements to senior staff.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain consistent routines and standards.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers.
