Overview
A global manufacturing organisation is looking for a permanent Warehouse Manager to join their team in Cheltenham, offering a salary of £55,000 + £8,000 car allowance.
This position will be leading and developing the distribution centre so that the organisation can reliably exceed customer expectations and fulfil customer demand.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Distribution Centre to consistently exceed customer expectations and meet demand through effective leadership and collaboration with key supply chain functions.
- Foster an engaged and values-driven warehouse culture focused on continuous improvement, career development, and operational excellence.
- Ensure health and safety compliance by implementing safe processes
- Maintain high-quality standards to prevent damage, delays, and disruptions, aligning with customer expectations and safeguarding brand reputation.
- Drive operational efficiency by removing barriers, optimising processes, and working closely with logistics partners and internal departments.
- Develop contingency plans and business continuity strategies to ensure smooth operations despite external challenges.
- Support talent growth by identifying skills gaps, conducting performance reviews, and providing necessary training for team members.
Qualifications
- Previous experience managing Warehouse operations including logistics and inventory
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills to inform strategic decision-making.
- Leadership capabilities in team management, performance coaching, recruitment, and talent retention.
- Ability to interpret data, derive insights, and implement actions to optimise supply chain and logistics operations.
- Airfreight experience advantageous
