A fast-growing and dynamic FMCG food business is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join its team on a permanent basis in Andover. Offering a salary of £44,000 and a hybrid working arrangement of two days per week from home, this is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving organisation.

The primary purpose of the role is to develop, manage, and continuously strengthen a reliable and sustainable supply chain that delivers high-quality products. The successful candidate will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders across the business.

To be considered, candidates must have previous supply chain experience within an FMCG environment and a proven ability to manage supplier relationships and supply chain operations effectively.

Role responsibilities of the Supply Chain Manager include:

  • Coordinate transport planning and monitor goods in transit, liaising with suppliers and hauliers to ensure products are delivered to the correct depot on time and in full.
  • Drive haulage efficiency and operational effectiveness while ensuring adherence to site capacity constraints.
  • Oversee daily customs operations and support in maintaining customs compliance, documentation accuracy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members through regular feedback, performance management, and tailored development plans.
  • Take ownership of invoice queries, ensuring timely resolution in line with agreed KPIs and service standards.
  • Build and maintain professional, collaborative, and trusted relationships with internal departments, external suppliers, hauliers, and European office colleagues.
  • Lead supply chain improvement initiatives focused on product availability and waste reduction, developing cross-territory solutions to enhance performance and deliver key business KPIs.

Person Specification of the Supply Chain Manager:

  • Previous supply chain experience within an FMCG environment, ideally in food manufacturing or food retail.
  • Proven experience managing, mentoring, and leading teams in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.
  • Experience working with UK-based 3PL providers.
  • Exposure to customs processes, including Incoterms, tariffs, and international trade requirements is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels and departments.
  • A driven and motivated individual with a strong desire for career progression and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing best practices and operational efficiencies.

Salary: Up to £44k
