We are seeking a talented Procurement Manager to join a renowned FMCG organisation based in Rochester. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £70,000 and the flexibility of working from home two days per week. In this position, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and contracting for ingredients, packaging, and services. Your goal will be to deliver a competitive sourcing advantage through cost efficiency, superior service, quality, and innovation. Additionally, you will play a key role as a stakeholder in the NPD process. Ideal candidates will have proven experience in purchasing or procurement within an FMCG or perishable goods environment, at a Senior Buyer, Category Manager, or Procurement Manager level. Role responsibilities of the Procurement Manager include: Develop and manage sourcing strategies for materials, packaging, and indirect requirements, focusing on cost, service, quality, and technology to maintain competitive advantage. Oversee supplier evaluation through scorecards, onboarding new suppliers, and ensuring the supplier base aligns with business needs while managing risks. Lead negotiations, contract reviews, and amendments to ensure favourable terms and strong supplier relationships. Generate and present reports on spend, sourcing strategies, and KPIs, providing insights and guidance to leadership. Person Specification of the Procurement Manager: Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within an FMCG environment, specifically in Food, Beverage, or Packaging sectors Demonstrated expertise in developing procurement strategies, driving value creation, and monitoring performance metrics Advanced proficiency in IT tools, including MS Office Suite Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, effectively engaging with stakeholders at all seniority levels Sharp commercial acumen coupled with a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to procurement processes Salary Up to £70k 2 days per week working from home post probation This role will be well suited to you if you have held a role within purchasing or procurement as a senior buyer, procurement manager, category manager, purchasing specialist, purchasing team leader, procurement team leader, lead buyer, strategic buyer, procurement officer or procurement specialist
