Butler Ross are pleased to be exclusively supporting a Public Sector organisation with their recruitment of a Procurement Officer on an initial 12-month fixed term contract (FTC). There is scope for extensions and potential permanent employment, but this cannot be guaranteed at this point in time. The salary for this role is negotiable, dependent on relevant experience and capability.

This is a fully-remote opportunity, with an expectation that travel for in-person meetings will be once a quarter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing various procurement activities, including: tendering, contract management, and supplier relationship management - generally across a corporate indirect portfolio
  • Effective reporting of overall procurement performance
  • Supporting both the creation and implementation of category strategies
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedure as well as adhering to relevant public sector regulations and legislation
  • Effective collaboration and engagement of key stakeholders
Ideal Experience
  • Prior experience with tendering is a necessity, with contract management and supplier management "nice-to-haves"
  • Practical hands-on experience within public sector procurement or public adjacent entities
  • Demonstrable experience with, or an understanding of, either Procurement Act 2023 (PA23) or PCR2015 (Public Contract Regulations)
