A leading manufacturing organisation is looking for a permanent Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Milton Keynes, offering a salary of up to £35,000. This position requires someone with proven expertise in international freight operations, customs compliance, and export documentation. This role has full ownership of end-to-end logistics execution across road, sea, and air freight, ensuring compliant, cost-effective, and on-time delivery across UK, European, Far East, and Middle East markets.
Candidates will have previous experience within logistics and freight/customs compliance.
Role responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator include:- Manage end-to-end international freight operations across road, sea, and air, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective deliveries worldwide.
- Prepare and validate commercial invoices, customs declarations, and export documentation with full accuracy, including HS codes, Incoterms, and customs values.
- Oversee customs compliance, calculating duties, verifying commodity codes, and managing post-Brexit import/export procedures to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Coordinate dangerous goods shipments, ensuring proper classification, documentation, and compliance with IATA, IMDG, and ADR standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and freight forwarders to optimize shipping schedules, negotiate rates, and resolve customs or logistical issues proactively.
- Proven hands-on experience in international logistics post-Brexit, with strong knowledge of UK-EU customs procedures, export/import declarations, VAT, and duties.
- Practical experience working with freight forwarders, carrier portals, and managing commercial invoices, HS codes, Incoterms, and Certificates of Origin.
- Expertise in handling dangerous goods shipments and ensuring compliance with IATA, IMDG, and ADR regulations.
- Solid understanding of freight cost structure.
- Highly detail-oriented, commercially aware, and an effective communicator.
