About the Role
Butler Ross are pleased to be exclusively supporting an FMCG organisation, with their recruitment of a Customs Manager on a permanent basis. This opportunity is based in East Hampshire, and an onsite presence is required 4-days a week (with 1 day WFH). The organisation are flexible on salary, and will consider all individuals with the relevant experience. Specific details and clarifications can be provided upon request/application.
Responsibilities
- Leading the end-to-end import/export compliance process
- Managing and overseeing customs brokers, including setting, tracking, and evaluating KPI's
- Maintaining the HTS database, resolving customs issues and managing any escalations
- Leading both pre and post audits of import documentation
- Continuously driving process improvements and supporting SOPs
- Supporting the effective implementation and enhancement of trade compliance software and tools — including stakeholder engagement and company-wide adoption
Ideal Experience
- Relevant experience within a Customs / Trade Compliance position
- Experience / Familiarity with HTS codes / classifications
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities
- Any industry/sector experience is welcome to apply, not just FMCG
- Must have current UK Right to work
