Procurement Category Manager (HR) – hybrid, £55,000-£60,000 plus benefits

As Procurement Category Manager for HR, reporting to the Head of Indirect Procurement, you\’ll set the category strategy, conduct strategic sourcing and review supplier performance.

  • Manage HR procurement category and lead sourcing projects including identification of potential suppliers, market research, production of tender documentation, management of RFx timelines, supplier evaluation and negotiation.
  • Analyse data and internal & external insights to drive value (across cost, quality and supplier performance)
  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers, working to build partnership that deliver continuous improvement, innovation and longer-term value.
  • Mobilisation of contracts and new supplier relationships.
  • Track the supply market – trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Governance, risk and compliance management to mitigate and minimise risks.
  • Develop and present reports on category performance including savings, supplier performance and market trends to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication and build relationships between regional and central teams to leverage collective buying power.

Procurement Category Manager (HR) Person Specification

  • An experienced strategic sourcing procurement professional
  • Proven experience in category spend analysis, sourcing process and supplier management.
  • Specific experience within the HR category would be very highly regarded
  • Experience leading regulated sourcing activities (under PCR, UCR/PA23).
  • Adept at requirement definition, sourcing planning, supplier management and competitive bidding.
