Butler Ross are pleased to be recruiting for multiple individuals for Quality Engineering positions, on behalf of our client operating in the marine services sector. These are exciting opportunities to join an organisation expanding operations, suitable for someone new to the field or an individual with previous quality inspection or quality engineer experience.
In these positions you will be engaging in critical quality control and management practices, to either ensure that all materials and components supplied to manufacturing facilities meet the organisation's quality standards (managing and supporting supplier development activities), or managing the quality processes and directives for parts at a key storage and distribution facility (goods in / goods out / root cause analysis, non-conformance).
These opportunities are offering a salary of circa £35,000 (negotiable dependent on experience) and operate on a hybrid-working basis (2 days a week from home). There is a degree of outside the UK travel, with an expectation of 1x month (for 1-2 days at a time), making it a great opportunity for those who want to enjoy some time outside of the UK whilst they work.
Desired Experience- Attitude - Having a desire and determination and an interest in problem-solving is crucial; skills and knowledge can be taught!
- Some prior experience/background in quality, manufacturing or engineering is ideal.
- Any familiarity with quality systems, methodologies, controls, or processes - for example: PPAP, APQP, 5Y, 8S, 8D, ISO's, Ishikawa etc. would be advantageous.
- Supplier Management & Development - Build strong supplier relationships with new and existing suppliers, conducting regular audits, assessments and performance reviews.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance - Ensure supplier compliance with company standards and regulations, reviewing control plans and quality documentation.
- Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement - Monitoring supplier quality metrics and solving supplier quality and non-conformance issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Working with engineering, purchasing, production, and logistics teams.
- Documentation & Reporting - Maintaining records and reports on audits, non-conformance, corrective actions, and supplier quality performance.
