A Fantastic Opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager / Contracts Manager to join an arm's-length Public Sector Body. The Senior Commercial Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing the real-time interface and relationship with a supplier for a recently insourced contract in line with government policy and best practice to deliver value for money and wider commercial benefits.
You will lead the relationship for initially 1 contract, and act as a lead in commercial contract management, acting as a mentor and sounding board for other contract managers.
Duties & Responsibilities:- To manage the team's day-to-day activity.
- To monitor the supplier's commercial and service management performance under the contract and analyse performance.
- To take remedial action where necessary, following GCF and NAO Good Practice Frameworks and Guidance.
- To agree/refine a contractual change process and ensure adherence to the process, tracking the contract to ensure the underlying cost model is current and accessible.
- To conduct the financial negotiations for any changes related to the existing contract at the appropriate management level ensuring that the agreements remain commercially advantageous and are appropriately documented and tracked.
- To review and amend contract documents, including service level exhibits, statements of work in line with agreed changes.
- To build strong working relationships with the vendor's service delivery centre, Service Desk, Account Teams etc.
- To intervene, analyse, manage, and resolve business conflicts between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- To develop strategic supplier management initiatives for the business in collaboration with the relevant contract owner/cost centre manager.
- MCIPS or equivalent such as IACCM/WCC or equivalent relevant experience.
- Public sector contract management experience (ideally from both supplier and client perspectives).
- Experience in managing outsourced contact centre contracts or similar services.
- Demonstrable experience of commercial contract management at a senior level.
- Proven track record of working effectively with service delivery teams, business managers and project managers to ensure service objectives are achieved.
- Relationship builder (internal & external).
- Experienced in commercial cost models and their practical implementation.
