What you’ll do
- Oversee the entire procurement process, ensuring that it aligns seamlessly with the overarching strategic objectives of the company.
- Spearhead initiatives aimed at improving supplier performance and enhancing inventory management practices.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and ensure quality standards are met.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Monitor and analyze procurement metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on procurement needs and inventory levels.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in procurement practices.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and performance to senior management.

Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, specifically within a manufacturing context.
- Proven leadership capabilities with a history of effectively managing teams.
- Comprehensive understanding of procurement methodologies and supplier relationship management.
- Exceptional negotiation skills coupled with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- A relevant degree in business, supply chain management, or a similar discipline is essential.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on procurement metrics.
- Experience with contract management and compliance regulations is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools to streamline processes.
