Butler Ross are pleased to be recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager on behalf of an Engineering Services Organisation based in Portsmouth. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to lead and develop the commercial function from the ground-up. This will involve handling the management of all projects, and supporting Senior Leadership Team to strategically develop the team over the next 24 months.
You do not need currently active security clearance to be considered for this position, however this will be required whilst in post. The salary on offer for this position ranges from £65,000 - £75,000, with potential scope to exceed this for exceptional candidates. This position does require an individual to be on site 5-days a week.
Responsibilities Will include:- Management of assigned projects
- Developing and maintaining project cost plans and estimates
- Performing monthly cost reporting
- Contract Administration duties and communications - including Early Warnings and Compensation Events
- Risk Management
- NEC experience would be advantageous
- Commercial or Contract Management experience across construction or engineering projects
- Previous experience within the Defence, Nuclear or similar industry/environment
- A desire to manage and lead a team in the long-term (previous leadership experience is not required but could be potentially beneficial)
