We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager on behalf of our defence sector to support complex, high-value programmes. The role works closely with internal stakeholders and external customers and suppliers, providing commercial expertise across current operations and new projects.
This opportunity would also be well suited to professionals currently working as a Procurement Manager, Contract Manager or Contracts Manager, particularly those with broad end-to-end responsibility across the commercial or contract lifecycle.
What you'll be doing
- Providing commercial services that support strategic objectives and create value for both the organisation and its partners.
- Delivering commercial services within agreed time, quality and cost parameters.
- Building and maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Negotiating customer-facing and supply-chain agreements.
- Preparing and managing tender documentation, bid material and contractual arrangements.
- Advising the business on commercial and contractual matters.
- Solving complex problems in a pragmatic and collaborative way.
What we're looking for
You'll bring a solid background in commercial, procurement or contract management, with confidence operating in regulated or complex environments. You'll be comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels and able to influence outcomes through clear communication and sound judgement.
Working arrangements
The organisation has a really flexible approach to hybrid working. In addition to this, they also operate a 9-day fortnight working pattern, which means every other Friday off work.
Security clearance
Due to the nature of the work, the successful candidate must be able to achieve Security Check (SC) clearance and meet Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) requirements. Eligibility may be affected by nationality or residency history.
