Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting a reputable accountancy firm in the recruitment of an Audit Senior to join their growing Corporate Audit team in Woking. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious audit professional to work with a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from growing international groups to established corporates. The role offers strong progression opportunities, exposure to complex assignments, and a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Supervise audit fieldwork and ensure assignments are delivered on time and within budget
  • Review work completed by junior team members and support their development
  • Prepare accounts in line with UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Build strong relationships with clients and wider internal teams
  • Identify key audit risks and ensure compliance with auditing standards
  • Work across both remote and on-site audit engagements

Key Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA or CA qualified or actively studying
  • Experience on audit software such as Caseware
  • Recent audit experience within an accountancy practice
  • Experience leading external audits from planning to completion
  • Strong understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, and International Standards on Auditing
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word
  • Proactive and organised with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
