Ready to step into payroll leadership? This is a great opportunity to join a large international manufacturing business as Payroll Manager, leading a small team and owning UK payroll for around 1,100 employees. Permanent role, with temp-to-perm also considered.

Reporting to the Shared Services Director, you’ll be the UK payroll subject matter expert, working closely with HR, Finance, IT and site leadership to ensure accurate, compliant and efficient payroll delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, support and develop a small in-house payroll team
  • Oversee accurate, timely and compliant UK payroll delivery
  • Manage payroll accounting, reconciliations, reporting, audit and controls
  • Partner with HR, Finance, IT and site leadership as the UK payroll specialist
  • Support systems, automation, process improvement and governance initiatives

About you

  • Strong UK payroll experience in a medium-to-large or shared services environment
  • Good knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, controls and reconciliations
  • Experience managing, supervising or leading a payroll team
  • Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • SAP, Workday, Cintra, ServiceNow or multi-site/manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
