A well-established Top 40 accountancy practice is seeking an Accounts Manager to join its Stamford office.

- Role Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring the timely completion and submission of financial statements and tax returns.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, including attending client meetings and acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, charities and limited companies.
- Produce year-end accounts in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Monitor workflow, ensuring work is completed efficiently, within budgets and deadlines.
- Support the planning and allocation of work across the team, taking resourcing requirements into account.
- Assist with the development and mentoring of junior team members.
- Prepare schedules for tax returns.
- Complete VAT returns.
- Ensure work is delivered to a high professional standard and in line with relevant accounting guidelines.
- Personal Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
- Strong general practice experience across accounts and tax compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Full ability to travel to client premises and between offices when required.
