Accounting Supervisor / Management Accountant in Somerset, Taunton

We are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join an established and growing business based in Taunton. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a varied role covering management accounts, reporting, reconciliations and wider financial accounting. You'll work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, providing accurate financial information and useful insight to support business decision-making. Prepare monthly management accounts and provide meaningful financial insight. Maintain a fully reconciled balance sheet, highlighting key risks and opportunities. Manage the fixed asset register and ensure depreciation is accurately recorded. Complete general accounting and financial reports as required. Liaise with and support external auditors when required. Provide wider support to the finance team and contribute to statutory reporting requirements. We're looking for someone who is analytical, organised and commercially aware, with the ability to work accurately across a varied finance function. Experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role. CIMA or ACCA part-qualified status, or demonstrable equivalent experience. A positive, flexible approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
