£57,000-£62,000 | Hybrid Working | Senior Finance Leadership Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified accountant to take on a senior leadership role within a dynamic finance team. This position will play a key role in statutory reporting, compliance, and managing a small team to ensure robust financial control.
The role will involve:
- Leading the preparation of statutory accounts and external financial reporting.
- Managing a team of 4, setting objectives, and supporting their development.
- Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring strong internal controls.
- Responsibility for VAT, corporation tax, and other regulatory returns.
- Driving process and system improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Working closely with external auditors and advisors.
- Contributing to wider finance projects and supporting the Head of Finance Operations.
What we're looking for:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE with suitable experience.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including VAT and financial reporting standards.
- Demonstrable leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate a team.
- Confident communicator, able to work across finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong Excel and financial systems experience; previous ERP experience advantageous.
- Ambitious, proactive, and comfortable working to tight deadlines.
