Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing accountancy firm in Harrow in their search for a Senior Accountant to join their Business Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified practice professional to manage a varied client portfolio while working closely with Managers and Partners in delivering high-quality accounts, tax, and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of owner-managed business clients
- Act as the main day-to-day contact, building strong client relationships
- Prepare and review statutory accounts under FRS102 and FRS105
- Prepare and review management accounts
- Prepare and review corporation tax computations and CT600s
- Review VAT returns and advise on compliance matters
- Support on personal tax and partnership tax returns
- Assist with capital allowances and MTD requirements
- Review work prepared by junior staff and provide guidance
- Support client onboarding onto cloud systems such as Xero
Key Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- 3 - 5+ years' experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge across accounts and corporate tax
- Good working knowledge of IRIS and Xero
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
