Private Client Tax Senior ManagerIpswichHybrid£55,000 - £65,000

A top 60 accountancy firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Tax professional to join its Ipswich office as a Senior Manager. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, from high-net-worth individuals and families to business owners, entrepreneurs and trustees. The position allows for a blend of office-based and home-working in line with the firm's flexible working policy.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical advice and hands-on support to private clients across all areas of personal tax.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns completed by junior staff.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, supporting their professional development.
  • Assist in the growth and development of the client base through business development activities.
  • Ensure compliance with deadlines while maintaining high standards of service and accuracy.
  • Contribute technical knowledge across the wider firm when needed.

Personal Requirements

  • CTA-qualified, or equivalent experience; additional qualifications such as ICAEW, ACCA or STEP are advantageous.
  • Strong background in personal tax compliance, including capital gains, remuneration planning, IR35, trusts/IHT and property income.
  • Experience with complex matters such as residency, immigration/emigration, agricultural or property estates and HMRC enquiries is desirable.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and accounting/tax software; CCH knowledge preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate effectively and work autonomously.
  • Willingness to travel across East Anglia.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and self-motivated with a proactive approach to client and team needs.
