Practice Accountant (temporary assignment) Hitchin, Hertfordshire £18.00 to £23.00 per hour (PAYE) Butler Rose public practice are delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established firm of chartered accountants based in the heart of historic Hitchin that are now eager to appoint a highly competent practice/client/senior accountant who can start immediately, and work on a temporary basis until at least the end of 2024. Role Responsibilities – Preparing year-end accounts for Ltd Companies, sole traders, and unincorporated businesses Computations for corporation tax CT600 returns and submission to the HMRC Production of self-assessment personal tax returns for directors and sole traders as required Reviewing the work of junior staff if required. Liaising with clients and he HMRC on their behalf as appropriate. Person Requirements – Ideally ACA or ACCA qualified although candidates qualified by experience will be given consideration. At least 4+ years’ experience working for a UK based practice at a client or senior accountant level. Proficient in the use of various accounting software to include CCH and XERO.
