Butler Rose is working alongside a growing Practice firm in their search for a Practice Accountant to join their team. Our client is based in Stony Stratford, MK and this would be an office based role. Salary is depending on experience. Duties: * Writing commentary, i.e., actual v forecast * CIS submissions – currently client submit around 15-20 construction companies CIS details to HMRC monthly. * VAT return preparation in Excel, then file using a bridging software also from Iris/PTP * Full use of Xero is essential, especially for VAT return preparation, it would be ideal if the candidate has a wealth of knowledge of apps that link into Xero and can help clients with advice to streamline processes. * Accounts production up to trial balance would be great also, fixed asset reconciliation, accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations etc * Personal tax return preparation for mainly subcontractors in the CIS industry, plus simple director salary and dividend processing which then will be reviewed. Ideal candidate will have: * Experience of working in an Accountancy Practice with at least 1-2 years’ experience * Experience in VAT is required * Experience in management accounts and personal tax is desirable * Proficiency with MS Excel, QuickBooks, and Xero (strong Excel skills a must) * Someone who understands HMRC software and used the system would be ideal. * A hard working and dependable candidate who can hit the ground running.
