Onshore Planner
Location: Grange over Sands
Contract: Full-Time | 2-Year Fixed-Term Contract
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Onshore Planner to join a busy operational team on a full-time, two-year fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a planner with experience in complex industrial or engineering environments who enjoys coordinating operational activities, improving planning processes, and working closely with cross-functional teams.
You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring maintenance and operational work is effectively planned, prioritised, and ready for execution, helping to support safe, reliable, and efficient asset performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain short and medium-term operational plans, including 28-day and three-month planning cycles.
- Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure activities are fully coordinated.
- Prioritise work in line with safety, operational integrity, and production requirements.
- Ensure work scopes are clearly defined and prepared before execution, identifying and resolving potential constraints.
- Support longer-term planning by contributing to forward workload and resource planning.
- Monitor planning performance, including schedule adherence and plan compliance, using KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to streamline planning processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide planning support across wider asset operations when required, ensuring a smooth transition from planning through to delivery.
- Communicate priorities, risks, and resource requirements clearly across operational teams.
About You
You’ll be an organised and proactive planner with strong technical planning skills and the confidence to work with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced operational environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in integrated planning within an operational or industrial environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and SAP.
- Experience of project planning and project controls, including scheduling, cost awareness, risk management, and change control.
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high planning standards.
- A strong commitment to safe working practices and continuous improvement.
Desirable
- A technical qualification or background in engineering, maintenance, or project management.
- Experience working within energy, manufacturing, engineering, or other asset-intensive industries.
