A growing and well-established organisation is looking to recruit a Junior Project / Assistant Management Accountant to support a busy finance team with a strong focus on project accounting, analysis and financial controls.
This role would suit an AAT qualified / part-qualified ACCA or CIMA candidate looking to develop into a management accountant role, with exposure to projects, budgets and financial reporting.
The Role
- Supporting monthly management accounts preparation
- Assisting with project and cost centre reporting
- Monitoring budgets, forecasts and variances
- Analysing financial data to support business decisions
- Supporting financial controls, reconciliations and audit queries
- Producing reports for internal stakeholders and senior management
- Assisting with process improvements and ad-hoc finance projects
You'll gain exposure to how finance supports operational and commercial decision-making across the business.
About You
- AAT qualified or studying ACCA / CIMA or equivalent experience
- Experience in an assistant management accountant or similar role
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
- A detail-focused, analytical mindset
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Good communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders
- Experience within project accounting, cost analysis or forecasting would be beneficial but is not essential.
