Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting a modern and progressive accountancy firm in the recruitment of an Accounts Semi Senior with some audit exposure to join their growing team across their Newton Le Willows office. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA part‑qualified professional looking to broaden their experience across accounts and audit within a supportive and collaborative environment. The role will have a stronger focus on accounts preparation while still offering valuable audit exposure across a varied client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare year‑end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, and LLPs
- Prepare VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts for a varied client base
- Assist with corporation tax and personal tax compliance work
- Support audit assignments and assist with fieldwork and audit file preparation
- Build strong relationships with clients and respond to day‑to‑day queries
- Work closely with Managers and Partners across a broad range of assignments
- Support junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Key Requirements
- ACA or ACCA part‑qualified or newly qualified
- Minimum 2 years' experience within an accountancy practice
- Strong accounts preparation experience with some audit exposure
- Knowledge of FRS102 and FRS105
- Experience with software including CCH, Xero, Sage, and Excel
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proactive and client‑focused approach
