Job Description Audit Manager Butler Rose are working closely with a well-established Independent Firm who currently has an opportunity for an Audit Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Audit Senior Manager and Responsible Individual (RI), the Audit Manager will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of audit clients, overseeing the successful planning, delivery and management of audit engagements. This is a key leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, commercial awareness and professional judgement, alongside the ability to lead, support and develop audit teams. Managing the full audit lifecycle, from planning through to completion, in line with ISAs and firm quality standards. Leading, developing and motivating audit teams through effective delegation, coaching and regular feedback. Monitoring budgets, WIP, billing and recoverability to support portfolio performance. Ensuring compliance with ISQM 1, AML and firm policies, while reviewing work to ensure it meets the required quality standards. Supporting the Audit Senior Manager and RI with risk escalation, training, CPD and departmental initiatives. Proven experience of working in a professional practice environment at Audit Manager level. Demonstrable experience of managing an audit portfolio and maintaining strong client relationships. Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and regulatory requirements. Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and regulatory requirements. ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience and at least 7 years' experience in audit.
