Senior Commercial Manager

Hybrid | 2-3 Days Office Based | up to Β£55,000 + Bonus

Butler Rose is working with a growing workforce solutions business to recruit a Senior Commercial Manager to join its commercial leadership team.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, this is a commercially focused role that will suit someone with a strong background in commercial analysis, finance, procurement, recruitment, MSP, workforce solutions, or outsourced services. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing commercial performance across a portfolio of national clients, supporting pricing strategy, profitability, cost optimisation, and business growth.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with large datasets, developing commercial insights, and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Lead commercial governance across a diverse client portfolio.

Develop pricing models, forecasting tools, profitability reports, and commercial analysis.

Drive client savings initiatives and workforce cost optimisation programmes.

Produce business cases and strategic recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.

Support contract negotiations, supplier charging structures, and commercial frameworks.

Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.

Deliver commercial reporting, dashboards, and management information.

Present commercial insights and recommendations to clients and senior leadership teams.

Support workforce solutions and transformation projects.

Ensure compliance with contractual, financial, and regulatory requirements.

Work closely with sales, finance, operations, delivery, and client services teams.

Manage and support a small commercial team.

About You

Strong commercial, financial, procurement, recruitment, or workforce solutions background.

Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, IF statements, and working with complex data models.

Experience analysing and interpreting large datasets.

Strong commercial acumen with excellent numerical and analytical skills.

Confident communicator with the ability to present to senior stakeholders and clients.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Experience developing pricing models, commercial reporting, and profitability analysis.

Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

Able to travel nationally for client meetings when required.

Desirable

Experience within recruitment, MSP, contingent labour, workforce solutions, or outsourced services.

Finance, accountancy, procurement, or commercial qualifications.

Experience supporting commercial transformation or change initiatives.

Knowledge of commercial governance, compliance, and supplier management.
