Job Description Project Accounting Manager Duration: ASAP start, c. We are supporting a confidential, high-growth organisation with the appointment of a Project Accounting Manager. This is a hands-on role focused on understanding current processes, improving data quality, strengthening controls and developing more reliable reporting within a complex project-led environment. The successful candidate will be joining an area where processes are less established, so this role will initially require investigation, analysis and problem-solving before moving into process improvement and implementation. Investigating existing project finance processes to understand how work is captured, costed, transferred and reported. Reviewing data quality, manual processes and system-related issues that affect reporting accuracy. Identifying gaps in controls, reporting and reconciliations. Working with information from multiple systems and manual sources to create clearer, more reliable reporting. Supporting the development of practical processes and controls where current arrangements are limited or inconsistent. Reviewing intercompany issues across project-led activities and supporting more accurate reporting. Partnering with Finance, Commercial and operational stakeholders to implement sustainable improvements. Experience in commercial finance, project accounting, operational finance or a similar process-led finance role. Strong technical accounting awareness, including revenue recognition, cut-off and completeness. Experience improving finance processes, controls, reconciliations and reporting. Strong data analysis and Excel skills, with the ability to work through incomplete or inconsistent information. Confidence working with operational and commercial stakeholders to challenge, explain and implement improvements. This role would suit a solution-focused finance professional who enjoys getting into the detail, understanding how processes operate and helping create more reliable controls and reporting from the ground up.
