Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager
Leeds
Salary up to Β£50,000 (DOE)
Butler Rose is assisting a well-established, independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors in Leeds with the recruitment of a Senior Accountant.
The firm provides a full range of accounting, audit and tax services to a diverse portfolio of owner-managed and family businesses across Yorkshire.
The role offers an excellent opportunity to build strong, long-term client relationships within a collaborative, one-team culture, with genuine autonomy and a strong focus on professional development.
Role Requirements -
- Statutory & Management Accounts: Preparing statutory accounts, management accounts, and VAT returns for a varied portfolio of clients.
- Client Relationship Management: Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building relationships, and visiting client premises to provide accounting support.
- Technical Advisory: Assisting with tax compliance and advisory, such as reviewing corporation tax returns and conducting capital allowance reviews.
- Team Support & Mentoring: Assisting with the development of junior team members and working closely with Managers and Partners.
- Software Utilization: Utilizing technology and software, including ProAudit, IRIS, Xero and SAGE.
Personal Requirements -
- Qualified ACA or ACCA (or exam finalist).
- At least five years of accounting experience, ideally within a practice environment.
- Experience in working with UK owner-managed and family businesses.
- Strong technical accounting skills, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Excel.
