Butler Rose Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be partnering with a highly successful and growing international manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Supply Chain Manager.

This is a rare opportunity to join an organisation at a pivotal stage in its growth journey.

Following significant investment and ambitious expansion plans across Europe, the business is embarking on a transformation of its supply chain capability, distribution network and operating model.

The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping and building supply chain processes, systems and governance from an early stage, creating scalable solutions that will support future growth for years to come.

With new distribution centres being established across Europe and increasing international complexity, this position offers genuine influence and the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy within the business.

The Opportunity

Reporting into senior leadership, the Supply Chain Manager will take ownership of end-to-end planning and supply chain performance across multiple manufacturing, warehousing and distribution locations.

The role will focus on creating alignment between customer demand, operational capability and service delivery, while developing robust planning processes that improve visibility, efficiency and inventory performance throughout the network.

This is a hands-on strategic role that combines operational execution with transformation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead integrated demand and supply planning processes to improve forecast accuracy and support business growth.
  • Design and implement scalable supply chain processes, systems and reporting capabilities suitable for a growing international operation.
  • Establish inventory strategies and stock policies across manufacturing, warehousing and distribution locations to optimise working capital and service levels.
  • Partner with operations teams to develop capacity models, identify constraints and improve throughput across the network.
  • Lead the Sales & Operations Planning process, creating a single version of the truth across commercial, operational and financial stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with logistics providers and warehousing partners to ensure reliable customer delivery performance across multiple markets.
  • Support the establishment and onboarding of new distribution centres throughout Europe, including process design, systems integration and operational readiness activities.
  • Drive standardisation of supply chain practices across multiple sites and business units while navigating differing systems and ways of working.
  • Develop meaningful KPIs and reporting tools that provide visibility of demand, supply, service and inventory performance.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, simplification and continuous improvement across the wider supply chain function.
  • Act as the key point of coordination between Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Procurement and Finance to ensure business objectives remain aligned.

About You

We are looking for an experienced supply chain professional who enjoys building capability, solving complexity and driving change within fast-paced environments.

You will bring

  • Proven experience within senior supply chain, planning or S&OP leadership roles within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of demand planning, supply planning, inventory management and logistics operations.
  • Experience implementing or improving planning processes, systems and ways of working across multiple sites or regions.
  • The ability to interpret data, identify trends and translate insights into actionable business decisions.
  • Experience operating within ERP environments and utilising advanced Excel and reporting tools to support decision making.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build alignment across commercial and operational teams.
  • A track record of leading through ambiguity and delivering improvements in evolving or transformational environments.
  • Experience supporting international supply chains or European distribution networks would be highly advantageous.
  • Professional supply chain qualifications such as CPIM, CSCP or equivalent would be beneficial but are not essential.

Why Apply?

This is far more than a traditional Supply Chain Manager role.

The successful candidate will join the business during a period of significant investment, international expansion and operational transformation.

You will have the opportunity to help shape the future supply chain model, influence strategic decisions and create processes and systems from infancy rather than inheriting legacy practices.

Opportunities to build something meaningful at this scale and stage of growth are rare.

If you are motivated by change, enjoy creating structure within complexity and want to play a leading role in a business entering an exciting new chapter, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Package

  • Annual bonus opportunity
