A growing manufacturing business based in Lancaster, focused on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality products to customers across the UK and beyond, is looking for an experienced Interim Finance Business Partner to join the team and provide commercial and operational finance support during a key period for the business.

This is a hands‐on and highly visible role where finance meets operations. You will work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and senior leadership teams to provide insight, challenge performance, and support day‐to‐day decision‐making across the business. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a fast‐paced manufacturing environment and able to provide value from day one.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with operational and manufacturing teams to support business performance
  • Produce meaningful financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Analyse manufacturing costs, margins, labour, and operational KPIs
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Provide commercial insight to support strategic decision‐making
  • Challenge assumptions and drive accountability across departments
  • Support month‐end processes and variance analysis
  • Assist with business cases, investment appraisals, and continuous improvement initiatives
About You:
  • Qualified or part‐qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner or commercially focused finance role
  • Manufacturing experience is essential
  • Able to start immediately or at short notice
  • Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence non‐finance stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‐paced environment
