Are you a skilled Management Accountant with a passion for the leisure and hospitality sector? We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join a well-established business in Burnley. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a thriving sector and play a key role in driving financial performance within a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely management accounts for the business.
- Produce monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Support with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor and report on performance against budget and highlight key variances.
- Assist with financial analysis, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for cost improvement.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Support in the preparation for audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
- Work closely with department heads to provide financial insights and improve operational efficiency.
- Help with ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as required.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or fully qualified (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally within the leisure or hospitality sector.
- Strong technical accounting skills with the ability to prepare and interpret management accounts.
- Experience in financial analysis and providing actionable insights to improve business performance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with non-financial managers.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with financial management software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar).
- Attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
