Our client who has a strong presence across the South West, with growth as a continuous focus, is now looking for an HR Manager to join their team.

As an HR Manager, you will report directly to the Directors, providing crucial generalist HR support and guidance to Directors and colleagues. This role is varied and demanding, ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on and strategic role and can work independently as a stand-alone manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice and guidance on company policies, employment terms, and legislative requirements.
  • Writing and updating policy and procedure.
  • Lead recruitment activities to attract top talent.
  • Handle employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance cases.
  • Oversee on-boarding and off-boarding processes, including documentation for new starters and leavers.
  • Address HR-related inquiries, ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Employee engagement and benefits review.
  • Manage sickness absences, including occupational health referrals.
  • Look after the learning and development needs of the business ensuring employees engage in apprenticeship programs and professional development to suit their level.
The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated professional with a strong understanding of HR principles and legislation, and experience in performance management. CIPD Level 5 qualification is required.
