We are recruiting on behalf of an established and expanding manufacturer seeking a Production Engineer to support production operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and enhance equipment reliability across the site.

The Role

As Production Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring machinery, equipment, and manufacturing processes operate efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with production teams, you will help maximise output, reduce downtime, and lead engineering improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and support risk assessment activities.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve machine-related issues.
  • Support production teams to maximise equipment performance, workflow, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead engineering improvement projects and support the introduction of new products and processes.
  • Ensure equipment and manufacturing processes meet technical and quality standards.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing instructions, procedures, and documentation.
  • Manage critical spare parts and equipment inventories.
  • Develop and coordinate preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.
  • Support machinery installation, commissioning, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and equipment upgrades.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production operations.

About You

  • Previous experience in a Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to manage projects, prioritise workloads, and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance and equipment reliability principles.
