We’re looking for a hands‑on finance all‑rounder to look after the day‑to‑day finance of a fast‑paced and successful business. This role is ideal for someone at Assistant Accountant or Accounts Manager position who wants broader responsibility and can communicate with customers and peers confidently.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with and prepare monthly management accounts
- Maintain accurate day‑to‑day finance including sales and purchase ledger, invoicing, credit control and bank reconciliations
- Support budgeting and forecasting
- Help manage cashflow and working capital
- Prepare VAT returns
- Support year‑end and work with external accountants
- Provide basic financial analysis and reporting for management
- Help improve finance processes as the business grows
About You
- Experience in a finance or accounts role within an SME
- Comfortable working across different areas of finance
- Good understanding of bookkeeping and management accounts
- Studying AAT / ACCA / CIMA, or qualified by experience
- Confident with accounting software and Excel
- Organised, reliable, and keen to learn and develop
