Ready for your next HR opportunity?

Are you a proactive, hands‑on HR professional looking for an opportunity to take ownership of a varied HR function while enjoying the flexibility of fully remote working?

We're recruiting an experienced HR Advisor to join an established training provider on a 12-month fixed‑term contract, covering maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a standalone HR role, enjoys working autonomously and is confident providing practical HR support across the employee lifecycle.

With a salary of £35,000 and fully remote working, this role offers the chance to make a genuine impact within an organisation focused on learning, development and training.

The Role

As HR Advisor, you'll take responsibility for delivering a comprehensive HR service, acting as a trusted point of contact for managers and employees. You'll play a key role in ensuring HR processes run smoothly, providing expert advice and supporting a positive employee experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee departures.
  • Providing advice and guidance on employee relations matters, including absence management, performance issues and disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Supporting managers with HR policies, procedures and best practice.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring HR documentation is up to date.
  • Supporting performance management, employee engagement and people development initiatives.
  • Ensuring HR practices remain compliant with employment legislation and relevant policies.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes and contribute to the ongoing development of the people function.

About You

We're looking for a confident, organised and commercially aware HR professional who is comfortable working independently and managing a varied workload.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a standalone HR role, with the confidence to manage day‑to‑day HR activities independently.
  • A minimum CIPD Level 3 qualification, or above.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practice and UK employment legislation.
  • Experience advising managers and employees on a range of HR matters.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Experience within the education, learning or training sector would be beneficial, although candidates from other sectors with relevant HR experience are encouraged to apply.

What's on Offer?

  • £35,000 annual salary
  • Fully remote working
  • 12-month fixed‑term contract covering maternity leave
  • A varied and autonomous role with genuine responsibility
  • The opportunity to make a positive contribution within a training‑focused organisation
