Butler Rose are working with a respected charity in Yeovil to recruit a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the charity's financial operations. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can ensure financial compliance, provide insightful analysis, and support the charity's long-term financial sustainability.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls and compliance with charity and statutory regulations.
  • Prepare timely and accurate management accounts, financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee payroll processes and ensure all statutory and regulatory obligations are met.
  • Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
  • Develop and implement effective financial strategies, including procurement planning and cost management.
  • Provide financial insight and reporting to support funding applications and grant compliance.
  • Line manage and develop a small finance team.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to align financial planning with organisational objectives.

The successful candidate is likely to be a qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent), a clear communicator with a background in management accounting, payroll, and audit preparation.
