Hybrid working role

Are you a qualified accountant looking for a role where your expertise can make a real impact?

We're seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead a small finance team and play a key role in supporting the financial performance and long-term sustainability of a well-established charity in Exeter.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you'll oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, controls and compliance, while partnering with senior stakeholders across the business.

This position is to start ASAP so you will be available at 1 month's notice or less.

The Role

  • Lead, mentor and develop a small finance team.
  • Deliver accurate and insightful monthly management accounts.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
  • Partner with managers and senior leaders to support decision-making.
  • Maintain robust financial controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage year-end processes and external audit requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting.

About You

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent qualified.
  • Proven experience in a finance management position.
  • Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting skills.
  • Previous experience leading and developing staff.
  • Strong analytical ability and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
