Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting an independent accountancy practice in Royston in their search for a Senior Accounts Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional looking to take ownership of a varied portfolio while playing a key role in the development of both clients and staff. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients across accounts, tax, and advisory services
  • Deliver accounts assignments to Partner review, ensuring high technical standards
  • Oversee workflow, deadlines, budgets, WIP, and billing
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, building strong long-term relationships
  • Lead client meetings and provide commercial and technical advice
  • Review work completed by junior team members and support staff development
  • Assist with technical queries, tax matters, and advisory projects
  • Support the day-to-day management and development of the wider team

Key Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualified with 5+ years' post-qualified practice experience
  • Strong accounts and tax knowledge with experience managing client assignments
  • Experience reviewing work and developing junior staff and supporting Managers
  • Knowledge of accounting software including IRIS, Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks
  • Organised, commercially aware, and able to manage competing deadlines
  • Full driving licence essential
