Working closely with the Managing Director and wider leadership team, you will provide the financial insight, controls and strategic guidance needed to support business performance and future growth. This role offers significant exposure across the organisation and the opportunity to influence decision-making at the highest level.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Driving Financial Performance: You will take ownership of the company's financial reporting framework, ensuring management receives accurate, timely and meaningful information to support decision-making. This includes producing monthly management accounts, analysing business performance, identifying trends, and providing recommendations that contribute to achieving business objectives.
  • Leading Planning and Forecasting: A key aspect of the role will be coordinating budgets, forecasts and financial plans across the business. You will work collaboratively with operational stakeholders to understand business requirements, evaluate risks and opportunities, and ensure financial plans remain aligned with company goals.
  • Managing Cash and Working Capital: You will oversee the financial health of the organisation through effective cash flow management. This includes monitoring working capital, maintaining robust forecasting processes, supporting funding requirements and ensuring appropriate financial controls are in place to support day-to-day operations.
  • Ensuring Financial Control and Compliance: The Financial Controller will play a central role in maintaining strong governance and financial discipline. You will manage relationships with external auditors and professional advisers, oversee statutory reporting requirements, and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and obligations.
  • Developing the Finance Function: This position provides leadership responsibility for the finance team and external support providers. You will encourage continuous improvement, develop team capability, and help create an efficient, customer-focused finance function that adds value across the business.
  • Improving Systems and Processes: You will identify opportunities to enhance reporting, controls and business processes through better use of systems and technology. A proactive approach to continuous improvement will be essential in helping the organisation operate efficiently and scale effectively.
