A highly regarded, top 50 accountancy firm is seeking an Audit & Assurance Senior or Assistant Manager to join its growing Cambridgeshire team. The firm offers a varied client portfolio spanning technology, professional services, not-for-profit organisations and larger corporate groups. This role provides excellent exposure to diverse audit assignments alongside accounts and tax work, within a flexible and supportive working environment that encourages both professional development and work-life balance.
Role Responsibilities
- Plan and lead audit engagements, including managing onsite teams.
- Prepare statutory accounts and draft tax computations.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, resolving queries and escalating where necessary.
- Review work completed by junior team members prior to manager review.
- Coach, mentor and provide feedback to junior staff.
- Ensure assignments are delivered within agreed budgets and timelines.
Personal Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, ICAS or CA part-qualified or fully qualified.
- Proven experience planning and leading external audits within a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102.
- Confident in client-facing situations with excellent communication skills.
- Experience using audit software (e.g. Caseware) and Microsoft Office.
- Motivated, organised and keen to progress professionally.
