A growing and forward-thinking independent accountancy practice is seeking an ambitious Accountant to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACCA finalist or AAT Level 4 qualified professional with accountancy practice experience to take ownership of a varied client portfolio while supporting the development of junior team members.

You'll work closely with a broad range of owner-managed businesses, gaining exposure across accounts, tax and compliance within a modern, flexible practice that offers genuine long-term career progression.

  • Role Responsibilities
  • Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies.
  • Completing corporation tax computations and returns.
  • Preparing personal tax returns for a varied client portfolio.
  • Managing day-to-day compliance work for a portfolio of clients.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact.
  • Supporting and mentoring a junior member of the team, helping to develop your own client pod.
  • Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent client service.
  • Personal Requirements
  • ACCA finalist or AAT Level 4 qualified as a minimum.
  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
  • Strong experience preparing limited company accounts.
  • Good knowledge of corporation tax and personal tax compliance.
  • Confident managing a mixed portfolio of clients.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Proactive approach with a genuine desire to develop and progress within a growing firm.
